My wife & I purchased our first rental in the early 70's. I continued purchasing more rentals in Illinois while working full time there as well as in Ohio, Michigan and Texas. After being right sized after 15 years with one company we moved to Indiana to work for another company. We then liquidated all Illinois properties for the more favorable investment climate in Indiana. This included single family homes, duplexes, a 12 unit apartment building and a mobile home park. While doing this, we also did lease options, wholesaling, rehabs and pretty houses.

Founder of NICIA (Northwest Indiana Creative Investor Association). I was an Elder at our church and on the building committee when we built a new facility. We were involved in Boy Scouts while our 2 sons became Eagle Scouts. Since 1995 have been working  full time with our Real Estate Investments.
Have been a member and Vice President founding board of INstateREIA for the State of Indiana.

Alicia Ortiz

My name is Alicia Ortiz. I have been an active investor since 2003. I have served over 5 years on the Board of Directors of RIEA-NCI and NICIA.  I am a founding member of INstateREIA and serve on the Board of Directors.  In 2016, I set up at meeting of all Indiana Investors who were in attendance at the OREIA Conference and through that meeting INstateREIA was born. I am proud to be able to give back to investors in Indiana by being a part of an organization that is about standing up for investors and giving investors a good name again. I look forward to helping this group move forward to the next level.
